May 8th, 2012Cub Scouts!
October 13th, 2011This last weekend I went as a parent helper to a Cub Scout Camp with my eldest.
I was the only parent helper with the other 4 Scout Leaders. There were 30 kids!
What a Great weekend – I was really impressed by the organisation, the ability to keep the kids on track and the fun that everyone had.
Frugal Camping Tips
July 2nd, 2011Recently I was contacted to ask how to get out camping, without spending a lot of money.
Fair question! In my opinion – camping is more about getting out amongst nature, rather than spending a bucket load on a big fancy setup.
Start Small I say! Here’s some tips for starting out if you need to do it cheaply.
Camping in and Around Brisbane
July 2nd, 2011I’ve been asked before – where to camp near Brisbane?
So – here’s some place’s we’ve been as a family and why we like them!
what I got from Agile Australia 2011
June 30th, 2011I went to Agile Australia 2011
Stage 1:
getting there. I asked at work and knew they had limited places. I really wanted some colleagues because I knew how much the 2010 had affected me.
wierd dream sequence
June 19th, 2011No real reason to share this but I thought I would anyway. Dreams:
In my dream last night I dreamed I was sitting at a picnic table on the beach foreshore with 3 friends.
Baked Apples
March 4th, 2011Another of the boys favourites as winter comes closer is Baked Apples!
This one’s really good at camping too – in the camp oven.
Tiger Toast
March 4th, 2011A good friend of mine showed me a cool recipe.
Thanks to Maurice & Julie for the idea - here it is in pictures!
Bringing Work Home
March 4th, 2011Wow – I recently wrote an article on Agile in your Finances – using Agile @ home.
Since that time – I’ve been Guest Posted on Scrumology.com and also on The Agile Tribe!
Also had a ping back from the Agile 2011 Conference – hoping to do a lightning talk on the theme. Should be quite fun.
Edit: Even further – I’ve now discovered all sorts of people use Agile at Home: From Ben Arnott on Agile Chores to ”Becoming An Agile Family” (Kaizen and New Years Resolutions) To “Running the Kids Agile” post by Simon Raik Allen
Wow. Seems I’m not the only Geek Dad who brings work home!
Enjoy!
