Mt Tibrogargan

May 8th, 2012
on the recent long weekend, I took my family for what I thought would be a mildly challenging bush-walk.
It turned out to be a six hour strenuous rock climb!

Cub Scouts!

October 13th, 2011

This last weekend I went as a parent helper to a Cub Scout Camp with my eldest.
I was the only parent helper with the other 4 Scout Leaders. There were 30 kids!
What a Great weekend – I was really impressed by the organisation, the ability to keep the kids on track and the fun that everyone had.

Frugal Camping Tips

July 2nd, 2011

Recently I was contacted to ask how to get out camping, without spending a lot of money.

Fair question!   In my opinion – camping is more about getting out amongst nature, rather than spending a bucket load on a big fancy setup.

Start Small I say!   Here’s some tips for starting out if you need to do it cheaply.

Bringing Work Home

March 4th, 2011

Wow – I recently wrote an article on Agile in your Finances – using Agile @ home.

Since that time – I’ve been Guest Posted on Scrumology.com and also on The Agile Tribe!

Also had a ping back from the Agile 2011 Conference – hoping to do a lightning talk on the theme.  Should be quite fun.

Edit:  Even further – I’ve now discovered all sorts of people use Agile at Home:   From Ben Arnott on Agile Chores  to  ”Becoming An Agile Family”  (Kaizen and New Years Resolutions) To “Running the Kids Agile” post by Simon Raik Allen

Wow.  Seems I’m not the only Geek Dad who brings work home!

Enjoy!
